If you are newbie to Windows 7, you may not know some of the features in Windows 7. Here I would like to explain how to search different file formats inside a folder.
For instance let us assume, you are searching for an .jpg file which is present in a folder, but the folder contains lot of jpg files and other files. In Windows XP you can view files in detailed with file types and file information like date. But you cant search for particular jpg file formats.
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system you may find an option Type which represents the file format of the files present inside the folder. By clicking on Type which will list out the file formats available in the particular folder, which helps to find out the jpg file easily.
