Then try out VLC media player. First download and Install the latest version of VLC media player. VLC is an excellent media player that runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux.Start playing your movie, to grab a snapshot, select Video from the menu bar and click Snapshot.
How to Take Snapshot of the Movie Using Advanced Controls ?
The Advanced Controls helps you to take more accurate shot by playing the movie frame by frame. To enable the Advanced Controls, select View and Advanced Controls.Here I have taken snaps of my favourite movie Bourne Series,
Now You will see the Advanced Controls buttons appear below the slider. Now just click on the Snapshot button to grab an image.
You can easily control the frame you wish to grab by pressing the Frame by Frame button. Then press Snapshot button to take screenshot.
By default, the snapshots are saved as PNG files in your My Pictures folder in Windows.
