Question:
Is there anyway to turnoff the glowing apple logo on the back of my macbook?
Answer:
I personally Love the apple glow it’s so distinctive! 🙂 The apple logo is lit by the back light of the monitor. There is no way to turn it off with out turning the monitor off. But, here is a stupid trick to turnoff of the Apple Logo.
Just Press F1, It will reduce the brightness of display. The apple glow will also be reduced. 😉 Then Press F2 to increase brightness.
Got any other trick? Please share it 🙂
Well, this “stupid trick” truly honors the stupid part of its name. Anyone thinking about complain about of how useless the trick is should read the title of the blog and keep looking for a not so stupid trick.
Wow chuck could probably use some sleep and some encouragement. Surround yourself with people nicer than yourself and you might be a positive benefit to society one day. Anyway I think we all concluded that it’s part of the display light / cut out so you’re not going to get rid of it for energy saving reasons. IF YOU ARE wanting to hide it for SECURITY purposes (ie your apple shines against a window at night and people can see the apple thru the blinds), then my wifey’s practical fix was a post-it note. I was literally looking for techy solutions online came across this post, I dimmed my screen display, looked at the back of the macbook and found my wife added a post-it. Seems like a cheap cost effective temporary fix to me.
